Ingredients Thepla
- भिजवलेला साबुदाणा / भिगा हुआ साबूदाना / Tapioca soaked – 1 cup
- शेंगदाने / मूंगफल्ली / Roasted Peanuts powder – 1/4 cup
- साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1 tbsp
- मीठ / सेंदा नमक / Salt – per taste
- जिरे पावडर / जीरा पावडर / Cumin powder – 1 tsp
- तिखट / लाल मिर्च/ Chili powder – 2 tsp
- आमचूर / Aamchoor powder – 1/2 tsp
- काळ मीठ / काला नमक /Pink Salt -1/2 tsp
- अद्रक / अदरक / Ginger grated – 1/2 tsp
- कोथंबीर / धनिया पत्ता / Coriander leaves
- उकडलेले बटाटे / उबले आलू / Boiled potato – 2
- तूप / घी / Ghee – 1/2 tsp
Making Thepla
- Take bowl, add soaked tapioca / sabudana
- Add roasted peanut powder, sugar, salt to taste, roasted cumin powder, chili powder, Aamchoor powder, pink salt, grated ginger, coriander leaves, mix well everything
- Add boiled potato, crush potato then mix everything together
- Heat a pan, add little ghee
- Take small portion, make it flat on pan, bake one side for 5 min
- Turn and bake for another 4-5 min
- Sabudana thalipeeth is ready!
Ingredients Chutney
- खोब्र / नारियल / Dry Coconut – 1 cup
- काजू / Cashew – 2 tbsp
- हिरवी मिरची / हरी मिर्च / Green Chili – 3
- अद्रक / अदरक / Ginger – 1/2 inch
- चिंच / इमली / Tamarind concentrate-1 tsp
- मीठ / सेंदा नमक / Salt – per taste
- साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1 tsp
- पाणी / पानी / Water
Making Chutney
- Add coconut, cashew, green chili, ginger, tamarind concentrate, salt to taste, sugar in the grinder
- Add little water to help with grinding
- Grind to fine paste
- Chutney is ready!
Tips
- Soak sabudana for at least 6-7 hours
- Make sure to bake thalipeeth on one side completely before turning or it might break
- Crush potato completely
- Healthy alternative to deep frying sabudana vadas
