Ingredients

  • चवळी शेंग / चवली फलियां / Beans – 250 gms
  • तेल / Oil – 2 tbsp
  • मोहरी / राई / Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • िजरे / जीरा / Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 1 tbsp
  • कांदा / प्याज / Onion – 1
  • हळद / हल्दी / Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • ितखट / लाल िमर्च / Chili powder – 1 tsp
  • टमाटा / टमाटर / Tomato – 1
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – per taste
  • कोथंबीर / धिनया पत्ता / Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean beans, chop to 1/2 inch pieces
  2. Take a pan, heat oil,
  3. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, saute till mustard splutter
  4. Add chopped garlic, saute for 30 sec
  5. Add chopped onion, saute till onion is soft
  6. Add chopped tomato, saute till tomato is soft
  7. Add chopped beans, mix well
  8. Add salt to taste, mix well
  9. Add little water to help with cooking
  10. Cover and cook 4-5 mi or until beans are soft
  11. Add roasted crushed peanuts, mix well
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves
  13. Beans bhaji ready to serve!

Tips

  1. Wash and clean fresh beans before cutting
  2. Adjust cooking time to get desired crunch to beans
  3. Roasted peanuts gives nice crunch
  4. Serve with chapati, roti
