Ingredients

  • कारले / करेला / Bitter Gourd – 250 gms
  • तेल / Oil – 3 tbsp
  • मोहरी / राई / Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • िजरे / जीरा / Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 5-6
  • कांदा / प्याज / Onion sliced- 1
  • हळद / हल्दी / Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – per taste
  • ितखट / लाल िमर्च / Chili powder – 2 tsp
  • िलम्बू / नींबू / Lime juice – 1 tsp
  • शेंगदाने / मूंगफल्ली / Peanuts – 2 tbsp
  • कोथंबीर / धिनया पत्ता / Coriander leaves

Cooking

  1. Wash and clean bitter gourd, cut in thin slices
  2. Heat pan on med, add oil
  3. Add mustard seeds, let it splutter, add cumin seeds
  4. Add cut garlic, saute for 30 sec
  5. Add sliced onion, saute till onion is cooked
  6. Add sliced bitter gourd, mix well, saute for 3-4 min
  7. Add turmeric, mix well
  8. Add salt to taste, mix well
  9. Add chili powder, mix well
  10. Add lime juice, mix well
  11. Add roasted, crushed peanuts, mix well
  12. Garnish with coriander, mix well
  13. Ready to serve!

Tips

  1. Remove hard seeds, keep soft seeds to get nice taste
  2. Cut in to thin slices, so no need of water while cooking and get best taste
  3. Roast well to get nice flavors and light crispness
