Ingredients – Crispy Chicken
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – 1/2 tsp
- मीरे पूड / काली मिर्च/ Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
- Corn starch – 4 tbsp.
- Chicken cut in small pieces – 250 gm
- Oil for frying
- Water
Making – Crispy Chicken
- Take a mixing bowl, add curd whick and make curd smooth, now add half cup of water mix well, buttermilk is ready.
- Now add minced garlic and minced ginger, salt as per taste, pepper powder, red chili powder and 1 egg, mix all ingredient together. Buttermilk marinate is ready
- Now take boneless chicken cut into bite size pieces, add all chicken pieces in Buttermilk mix. Cover bowl with clear plastic wrap and refrigerate for min one hour
- Now for coating Take another wide bowl, Add white flour, cornstarch, chili powder, 2 tbsp corn starch, add water to make slurry
- Add chicken to slurry, mix well
- Heat oil on medium fry chicken for 3-4 min, turn occasionally
- Remove and let it cool down
- Prepare corn start slurry with 2 tbsp corn starch, re-coat chicken and fry again for 2-3 min, until golden
Ingredients – Orange Chicken
- Crispy Fried Chicken
- तेल / Oil – 2 tbsp
- अदरक / Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic fine cut- 1 tsp
- Chili flakes – 1 tsp
- संत्रा / Orange juice – 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce -2 tbsp
- लिंबू / नींबू / Lime juice – 1 tsp
- मध / शहद / Honey – 2 tbsp
- Corn starch – 4 tsp
Making – Orange Chicken
- Take a pan, add oil, heat on medium
- Add ginger, garlic paste, chili flakes, sauté for 30 sec
- Add orange juice, lime juice and honey, mix well
- Cook for 1-2 min
- Add corn starch slurry, mix well
- Add chicken, mix well, the sauce will thicken and coat around chicken
- Crispy flavorful Orange chicken is ready!
How to serve
- Serve hot!
- Serve with white rice, fried rice
Tips
- Boneless chicken is best suited for this recipe
- Recoating and refrying chicken gives it extra crispyness
- Fresh orange juice gives nice flavors
- Sugar is alternative to honey
