Ingredients – Classic Paneer Tikka
- तेल / Mustard Oil – 2 tbsp
- तिखट / लाल मिर्च / Chili powder – 2 tsp
- गरम मसाला / Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- चाट मसाला / Chaat Masala – 1/2 tsp
- काळ मीठ / कला नमक / Pink Salt -1/2 tsp
- जीरेपूड / जीरा / Cumin powder – 1tsp
- मीरे पूड / काली मिर्च / Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
- अदरक / Ginger – 1/2 tsp
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 1 tsp
- दही / Curd (thick)- 3 tbsp
- लिंबू / नींबू / Lime juice – 3 tsp
- कसूरी मेथी / Dry Fenugreek leaves – 1 tbsp
- डाळ्यांचं पीठ / सत्तू आटा / Roasted Dariya Powder – 1 tbsp
- Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
- पनीर / Paneer (1 inch large)- 4-5 pieces
- शिमला मिर्च / Green Peppers (1 inch large) – 4-5 pc
- कांदा / प्याज / Onion (1 inch large) – 4-5 pc
- तूप / घी / Ghee / Butter – 1/2 tsp
Marinating Classic Paneer Tikka
- Take a mixing bowl, add oil, chili powder, Garam Masala, salt, chaat masala, pink salt, cumin powder, black pepper powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, mix well
- Add thick curd, lime juice, dry fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi), Dariya powder, fresh cream, mix well
- Add 1 inch thick paneer pieces, same size green pepper and onions, mix well
- Prepare tikka by layering green pepper, paneer onion on a stick
- Now heat a pan on medium, add little butter, spread it well on the pan
- Add marinated tikka on the pan, roast from all sides, till light golden
- Tasty Paneer tikka is ready! serve hot!

- मिर्ची / Green Chili – 3/4
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 3-4 cloves
- अदरक / Ginger – 1 inch
- पुदीना / Mint leaves – 4-5
- कोथंबीर / धनिया पत्ता / Coriander leaves – 1 cup
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- लिंबू / नींबू / Lime juice – 2 tsp
- जीरेपूड / जीरा / Cumin powder – 1tsp
- दही / Curd (thick)- 1 tbsp
- डाळ्यांचं पीठ / सत्तू आटा / Roasted Dariya Powder – 2 tsp
- बटर / Butter – 1 tbsp
- पनीर / Paneer (1 inch large)- 4-5 pieces
- कांदा / प्याज / Onion (1 inch large) – 4-5 pc
- शिमला मिर्च / Green Peppers (1 inch large) – 4-5 pc
- तूप / घी / Ghee / Butter – 1/2 tsp
Making Haryali Paneer Tikka
- Grind green chili, garlic, ginger, mint leaves and coriander together to make fine puree
- Transfer the puree to a mixing bowl, add salt to taste, lime juice, cumin powder, curd, Dariya powder, butter, mix well
- Now add 1 inch thick paneer pieces, same size green pepper and onions, mix well
- Prepare tikka by layering green pepper, paneer onion on a stick
- Now heat a pan on medium, add little butter, spread it well on the pan
- Add marinated tikka on the pan, roast from all sides, till light golden
- Tasty Paneer tikka is ready! serve hot!
Tips
- You can use the remaining marination to make more tikkas
- Dont overcook paneer to get nice soft bite
- Cook on med heat to avoid burning
- If oven cooking, cook 7-5 min on 350 F / 180 C
- You can use gram flour as an alternative to daria flour, just dry roast it before adding
- Serve as starter, party snack
