Ingredients – Nimona Green peas curry
- मिरची/ Green Chili – 2/3
- अदरक / Ginger – 1/2 inch
- कोथंबीर / धिनया पत्ता / Coriander leaves – 2-3 strands
- जीर / जीरा / Cumin seeds -1 tsp
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 2/3
- मटर / Green Peas – 2 cup
- सरसो तेल / Mustard Oil – 2 tbsp
- बटाटा / आलू / Potato (thin sliced) -1
- हळद / हल्दी / Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- टमाटर / Tomato – 1 small
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
Marinating Nimona Green peas curry
- Grind chili, ginger, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, garlic together, grind to fine paste
- Now add 1.5 cup green peas to the same grinder, and grind to coarse paste
- Now heat mustard oil in a pan on medium
- Add thin slices potato, fry till it turns golden and crisp, remove from oil and set aside
- Now in same oil, add green peas paste, mix well, sauté for 4-5 min, make sure that green peas are well cooked for best taste
- Add turmeric, mix well
- Add Tomato, salt to taste, mix well and then cover and cook for 2-3 min till tomato is soft
- Rinse left over masala from grinder with little water and add to the pan, mix well
- Add 1 cup water to pan, mix well, cook for 3-4 more min
- Tasty Nimona- green peas curry is ready!
