Ingredients डिंक / गोंद / Edible Gum Ladoo

  • खोब्र / नारियल / Dry Coconut – 250gm
  • तूप / घी / Ghee – 500 ml
  • खारीक / Dry dates – 250 gms
  • बदाम / Almonds – 200 gms
  • काजू / Cashew – 200 gms
  • पिस्ता / pistachios – 50 gms
  • गोडंबी / भाल्लाटका / Marking nuts – 100 gms
  • मनुका / किश मिश / Rasins – 100 gms
  • डिंक / गोंद / Edible Gum – 200 gms
  • उळीद पीठ / उरद आटा / Polished Blackgram flour – 750 gms
  • साखर / शक्कर / Sugar powdered – 500 gms
  • इलायची / Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • जायफळ / Nutmeg – a little

Instructions – Making Ladoos

  1. Urad/ blackgram flour : Soak urad / black-gram overnight, remove skins, dry completely, grind and sieve flour
  2. Grate whole coconuts
  3. Heat pan on low-med, now roast grated coconut in two batches, add two tbsp ghee for each time while roasting coconut. Keep it side once coconut gets light golden color
  4. Take dry dates deseed them and make coarse powder in grinding jar. Roast dry dates powder on low-med heat for 1-2 min, add 1 tbsp ghee while roasting, once done keep it side
  5. Similarly grind almonds to coarse powder. Roast almond powder on low-med heat until light golden in color, add 2 tbsp ghee while roasting, keep it side
  6. Grind Cashew to coarse powder. Roast cashew powder on low-med heat until light golden in color, add 1 tbsp ghee while roasting, keep it a side
  7. Grind Marking nuts to coarse powder, Roast Marking nuts powder on low-med heat until 1 min, add 2 tbsp ghee while roasting, keep it a side
  8. Grind Pistachios to coarse powder. Roast pistachios powder on low-med heat for 2 min on low, add 1 tbsp ghee while roasting, keep it a side
  9. Now chop rasins and roast them for 1 min, add 1 tbsp ghee while roasting, keep it aside
  10. Crush/grind edible gum to coarse powder, heat 1/4 cup ghee in a pan, add 1-2 tbsp edible gum at a time and fry it on low-med, fry till puffed and light. Repeat for remaining gum. Keep it aside
  11. Heat 1/4 cup ghee, add blackgram flour and roast on low-med heat, once wheat flour gets light golden in color turn of heat, roast in batches
  12. Take a large mixing bowl, add all roasted ingredients and sugar, mix well
  13. Take small portion and make rounds
  14. Delicious, energy booster ladoos are ready

Tips

  1. After 3-2 days these ladoos taste even better as all the flavors are absorbed well
  2. Make sure to roast all ingredients well on low-med heat to avoid burning
  3. These ladoos are rich in protein and vitamins, best to consume during winter
  4. Edible Gum helps in bone strengthening

How to serve

  1. Served as morning breakfast, sure to provide energy for whole day
