Ingredients – Dough
- गहु पीठ/गेहू आटा/ Wheat flour- 1/2 cup
- मैदा / White flour – 1/2 cup
- मीठ / Salt – 1/4 tsp
- Water
Preparing dough
- Take mixing bowl add flours and salt mix well
- Use little water at time and knead hard dough
- Cover and keep it side for 20 minutes
Ingredients – Fillings
- Minced Chicken – 1 cup
- कांदा/प्याज/Onion chopped fine-1/4 cup
- कांदा पाथ / हरा प्याज/ SpringOnion-1/4 cup
- कोथंबीर /धिनया / Coriander – 1/4 cup
- अदरक / Ginger grated- 1 tsp
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 1 tbsp
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- तिखट / लाल मिर्च / Chili powder – 1tsp
- मीरे पूड/ काली मिर्च/ Black peppers – 1/4 tsp
- जीरेपूड / जीरा / Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
- Butter – 2 tbsp
Preparing Fillings
- Take mixing bowl add minced chicken, finely chopped onion, finely chopped spring onion, finely chopped coriander, grated ginger, garlic paste, salt red chili powder, black pepper powder, garam masala and butter
- Mix everything well together
- momo filling is ready
Ingredients – Tomato Sauce
- तेल / Oil – 1 tbsp
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 3 cloves
- मिर्च / Dry red Chili – 3-4
- टमाटर / Tomato – 2 med
- बदाम / Almonds – 10-12
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – 1/2 tsp
Preparing Tomato Sauce
- Heat pan on medium add oil
- Add garlic red chili sauté for 30 sec
- Add chopped tomato mix and add little water
- Add almonds and salt once tomato gets softer turn off heat
- Once mix cooled down, make chutney in mixer grinder
- Momo chutney ready
Making Momos
- Divide dough in small pieces
- Roll each piece to flat round sheet
- Method 1:
- Take one sheet add a spoonful of filling center, apply drop of water on edges
- fold in half stick edges and make half circle
- Now stick two ends together
- Method 2:
- Take one sheet add a spoonful of filling center, apply drop of water on edges
- Make tiny pleats stick them together, now fold them inside
- Now stick two sides together and tuck them in, follow same way till reach to end
- Method 3:
- Take one sheet add a spoonful of filling center, apply drop of water on edges
- Bring all edges together by making tiny pleats
- Method 4:
- Take one sheet add a spoonful of filling center, apply drop of water on edges
- Bring edges by making tight pleats until 3/4
- Now stick remaining 1/4 portion to pleated portion
- Steaming momos: Prepare steamer once steam form placed momos cover and steam for 15 minutes
- Yummy moms are ready
Tips
- Refrigerate if using for 3-2 days
- Non spicy chilis are best suited for this recipe
- If using spicy chilies dont add chili powder
