Ingredients – Dahi chili
- फिक्की मिरची / Non spicy Green Chili – 125 gms
- तेल / Oil – 2 tbsp
- मोहरी / राई / Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- हींग / Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- जीर / जीरा / Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- कलोंजी / Nigella seeds – 1/2 ts[
- हळद / हल्दी / Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- धने / धनिया / Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- बडीशेप/ सौंफ/ Fennel seeds powder – 1 tsp
- आमचूर / Aamchoor powder – 1/2 tsp
- तिखट / लाल मिर्च/ Chili powder- 1/2 tsp
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- Water – 1/4 cup
- साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1/2 tsp
- दही / Curd – 1/4 cup
- शेंगदाने/ मूंगफल्ली/ Peanuts crushed- 2 tbsp
- Coriander for garnishing
Preparing Dahi Chili
- Slit all the chilis once
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, let it pop.
- Add asafetida/ hing, cumin seeds, nigella seeds to the pan, mix well, sauté for for about 30 sec
- Add turmeric, coriander powder, fennel seeds powder, Aamchoor powder, chili powder, salt to taste, mix well, sauté for 30 sec
- Add water to pan, mix well
- Cover and cook for 2 min on med
- add sugar, curd, crushed peanuts, mix well, cover and cook for another 2 min
- Dahi chili is ready! Garnish with coriander
Tips
- Refrigerate if using for 3-2 days
- Non spicy chilis are best suited for this recipe
- If using spicy chilies dont add chili powder
