Ingredients Chutney

  • डाळ्या / Daria split – 1/4 cup
  • अदरक / Ginger – 1/2 inch
  • मिरची / Green Chili – 3
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
  • खोब्र / नािरयल / Wet Coconut – 1 cup
  • चिंच / इमली / Tamarind concentrate-1/4 tsp
  • कोथंबीर /धिनया / Coriander – 1/4 cup
  • Water
  • तेल / Oil – 1 tbsp
  • मोहरी / राई / Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • कढीपत्ता / Curry leaves – 8-10
  • मिरची / Dry red Chili – 1

Instructions – Making Idli

  1. Take grinding jar, add Daria split/dalya, ginger, green chili, salt
  2. Grind it all together
  3. Add wet coconut, tamarind concentrate, coriander, water to grinding jar and grind together adjust water consistency to your liking
  4. Chutney is ready
  5. Now heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, let it pop
  6. Add curry leaves, red dry chili, sauté till crisp / aromatic,
  7. Add this tadka to chutney base, mix well
  8. Coconut Chutney is ready!

Tips

  1. Wet fresh/frozen coconut works well for this chutney
  2. You can also little sugar as per your liking

How to serve

  1. Serve with Idli, dosa, bhajji
