Ingredients – शेपू / सुवा / Dill Curry

  • चना डाळ / Chickpea split – 1/4 cup
  • लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 7-8 cloves
  • मिर्ची / Green Chili 8-9
  • शेंगदाने/ मूंगफल्ली/ Peanuts roasted- 1/4 cup
  • कोथंबीर / धनिया / Coriander
  • जीर / जीरा / Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • तेल / Oil – 2 tbsp
  • मोहरी / राई / Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • टमाटर / Tomato – 1 small
  • शेपू / सुवा / Dill leaves – 1 cup
  • हळद / हल्दी / Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste

Making – शेपू / सुवा / Dill Curry

  1. Grind garlic, green chili, roasted peanuts, coriander, cumin seeds together, add little water if needed to get fine masala paste
  2. Wash and clean chickpea / Chana dal, pressure cook for soft, set aside cooked chickpea and the broth for later use
  3. Now take a pot, heat on medium, add oil
  4. Once oil heats add mustard seeds and let it pop
  5. Add tomato, cook till it is soft
  6. Add washed and cut dill leaves, mix well
  7. Add turmeric, mix well
  8. Add salt to taste, mix well
  9. Add masala paste, mix well
  10. Add cooked chickpea mix well
  11. Add chickpea broth or water 1-2 cups, adjust to your liking, mix well
  12. Bring to boil and cook for 1-2 min on medium
  13. Tasty dill curry is ready!

Tips

  1. Grind masala paste fine, it gives gravy nice thick consistency
  2. Adjust water level to get gravy thickness to your liking
  3. Chickpea lentil take 6-5 whistle to cook soft

How to serve

  1. Serve hot!
  2. Serve with Bhakari, Chapati,Rice
