Ingredients – Manchurian balls
- पत्ता गोबी / Cabbage grated – 2 cups
- गाजर / Carrot – 1/2 cup
- शिमला मिरची/ Green Pepper cut – 1/4 cup
- कांदा / प्याज / Onion – 1/4 cup chopped fine
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic fine cut- 1 tsp
- अदरक / Ginger fine cut – 1 tsp
- पातीचा कांदा / Spring Onion – 1 tbsp
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- मीरे पूड / काली मिर्च / Pepper Powder- 1 tsp
- मक्का पीठ / Corn Flour – 6 tbsp
- मैदा / Maida flour – 6 tbsp
- तेल / Oil for frying
Making – Manchurian balls
- Take a mixing bowl, add grated cabbage, carrot, green pepper, onion, garlic paste, ginger paste, spring onion, black pepper powder and salt to taste, mix everything well
- Add corn flour mix well
- Add maida flour mix well
- Now make key lime size rounds and set aside
- Heat oil on medium, fry veg balls from all sides till golden
Ingredients – Manchurian sauce
- तेल / Oil – 2 tsp
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic- 1 tbsp fine chopped
- अदरक / Ginger – 1 tbsp fine chopped
- पातीचा कांदा / Spring Onion – 1 tbsp fine chopped
- Chili flakes – 1 tbsp
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
- Ketchup – 1 tbsp
- सिरका / Vinegar – 1/2 tsp
- Corn starch slurry – 2 tbsp
Making – Manchurian Sauce
- Take a sauce pan, heat on medium
- Add oil, once oil is heated add garlic, ginger sauté till cooked
- Add spring onion, chili flakes sauté for 1 min, set aside little mix for garnishing
- Add soy sauce, ketchup and vinegar mix well
- Now prepare corn starch slurry by adding corn starch to 1/4 cup water and mixing well
- Add the corn starch slurry, mix well
- You can also add more water to increase sauce
- Cook till sauce thickens
- Now drop the Vegetable rounds in sauce and mix well, cook for 1 min
- Veg Manchurian is ready!
How to serve
- Serve hot!
- Garnish with set aside mix
Tips
- Use finely chopped vegetables to get perfect Manchurian balls
- Add corn flour and maida little at a time until binding consisteny
- Drop vegetable balls in sauce right before serving to prevent them becoming soggy
- Add more water and corn starch slurry to increase sauce
