Ingredients – Bread Pudding
- दूध / Milk – 2 cup
- Custurd powder – 4 tbsp
- बटर / Butter – 1 tbsp
- साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1/4 cup
- इलायची / Cardamom powder – a pinch
- White bread slice – 4/5, cut in to small pieces
Instructions – Bread Pudding
- Take a pan, heat on low
- Add milk, custard powder, and butter to pan, stir continuously to avoid lumps
- Add Sugar, stir to dissolve it completely
- Cook milk till it thickens
- Add pinch of cardamom and mix well
- Turn off heat, wait for the milk cool down to warm
- Add cut bread to the pan, dip it completely in milk and soak for 2-3min
- Take small bowl (katori), grease lightly with ghee, fill it with prepared bread mix and cover with aluminum foil
- Repeat for rest of the bread-milk mix
- Prepare steamer, place all the bowls in steamer and steam for 30 min
- After steaming let it cool down to room temperature and then demold

- Amrakhand – 1 cup
- Bread pudding
Icing Bread-Pudding
- Fill Amrakhand in piping bag
- Decorate pudding with amrakhand
- Mango Bread-Pudding is ready!

- Serve Warm or cold
Tips
- White / Milk bread is best suited for this recipe
- Fresh cream, ice cream are other icing options, bread pudding tastes yummy without icing as well
- Small steel bowls (वाटी / कटोरी) can be used for baking
- Grease bowls with ghee before using, helps with demolding. Use knife to loosed sides while demolding
