Ingredients
- तांदूळ / चावलं / Rice – 1 cup
- बदाम / बादाम / Almond – 1/4 cup
- दूध / Milk – 1.5 ltr
- केशर / केसर / Kesar – a pinch
- साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 3/4 cup
- वेलदोडा / इलायची / Cardamom – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- Wash and clean rice, soak rice for 30 min
- In a pan, boil 1 cup water turn off heat, add almonds, cover for 10min, almonds will be easy to peel. remove and set aside
- Now in a pot, add milk, bring to boil, reduce heat to med
- Add soaked rice, mix well
- Add kesar, mix well
- Cook on low-med heat till rice is cooked, stir in between
- Add sugar, mix well
- Add cardamon, mix well
- Ready to serve,
- Granish with chopped nuts, and kesar
Tips
- Add little milk to change consistency
- Cashews and raisins can also be added as per liking
- For more sweetness add up to 1 cup sugar
- Serve chilled
