Ingredients

  • तांदूळ / चावलं / Rice – 1 cup
  • बदाम / बादाम / Almond – 1/4 cup
  • दूध / Milk – 1.5 ltr
  • केशर / केसर / Kesar – a pinch
  • साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 3/4 cup
  • वेलदोडा / इलायची / Cardamom – 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean rice, soak rice for 30 min
  2. In a pan, boil 1 cup water turn off heat, add almonds, cover for 10min, almonds will be easy to peel. remove and set aside
  3. Now in a pot, add milk, bring to boil, reduce heat to med
  4. Add soaked rice, mix well
  5. Add kesar, mix well
  6. Cook on low-med heat till rice is cooked, stir in between
  7. Add sugar, mix well
  8. Add cardamon, mix well
  9. Ready to serve,
  10. Granish with chopped nuts, and kesar

Tips

  1. Add little milk to change consistency
  2. Cashews and raisins can also be added as per liking
  3. For more sweetness add up to 1 cup sugar
  4. Serve chilled
