Ingredients – Bhajji / Pakoda

  • बेसन / Gram flour – 1 cup
  • ओवा / अजवायन / Ajwain – 1/4 tsp
  • हींग / Asafoetida – a pinch
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
  • कांदा / प्याज / Onion chopped – 1/4 cup
  • मिर्ची / Green Chili less spicy – 3-4 big pieces
  • मिर्ची / Green Chili spicy finely chopped – 2
  • कोथंबीर / धिनया / Coriander
  • पालक / Spinach – 1/4 cup
  • Baking soda
  • Oil from Frying

Making – Pakoda

  1. Take gram flour in a bowl
  2. Add ajwain seeds, asafoetida (hing), salt to taste, chopped onion, non spicy green chili, finely chopped spicy green chili, fine chopped coriander leave, chopped spinach, mix well
  3. Add little water at a time to make thick batter
  4. Add baking soda. mix well, bhaji batter is ready
  5. Heat oil for frying on medium
  6. Drop few spoonful batter in hot oil
  7. Turn occasionally to get even cook and color
  8. Fry till light golden
  9. Crispy bhajji is ready!

Tips

  1. Thinly sliced potato can also be add to batter

How to serve

  1. Serve Hot!
