Ingredients – Sesame Chikki / bar

  • तीळ / तील / Sesame seeds – 2/3 cup
  • शेंगदाने / मूंगफल्ली / Peanuts – 1/3 cup
  • Oats powder – 1/2 cup
  • गहु पीठ / गेहू आटा / Wheat flour- 1/2 cup
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
  • दूध / Milk – 1/4 cup
  • गुड़ / Jaggery – 3/4 cup
  • तूप / घी / Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • इलायची / Cardamom – 1/4 tsp

Preparing

  1. Roast sesame in pan on low, roast till seeds puffs a little, keep aside and let it cool down
  2. similarly roast peanuts in pan on low, roast till done nice and crunchy , keep aside and let it cool down
  3. Now roast almonds in pan on low, roast till almonds puffs and became crunchy , keep aside and let it cool down
  4. Take grinding jar add roasted sesame, peanuts, almonds and jaggery, grinding all together to powder (Keep little whole roasted sesame a side)
  5. Now mix whole roasted sesame in powder made earlier, stuffing is ready
  6. Now take mixing bowl add oats powder, wheat flour and little salt
  7. Knead soft dough, cover and keep aside for 15 min
  8. Now work on dough little to make it soft, make four equal portions
  9. Take one portion, roll it flat, place 3 tsp stuffing in center, collect all edges together and seal stuffing inside of dough
  10. Roll paratha/poli to flat circle gently, make sure stuffing will not come out
  11. Heat pan on medium placed paratha/poli on pan roast one side, turn around after 40 sec, apply ghee and flip again, apply ghee
  12. Roast both sides nicely
  13. Sweet and delicious sesame poli /paratha ready
  14. Serve hot as breakfast

Tips

  1. Oats gives nice crispness and also make poli more nutricious
  2. Almonds are optional
  3. Roast seeds on low heat till crispy to get best taste

How to serve

  1. Makes 4 Til poli / chapati / paratha
  2. Apply little ghee while serving
