Ingredients – Cake

  • मैदा / Maida / White flour – 1.5 cup
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • बेकिंग पाउडर / Baking Powder – 2 tsp
  • बेकिंग सोडा / Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
  • Cocoa powder – 1/2 cup
  • Butter – 1/2 cup
  • साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1 cup
  • अंड / अंडा / Egg – 2
  • दूध / Milk – 1.5 cup

Making Cake

Preparing Cake batter

  1. Sieve flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder together and mix well, keep aside
  2. In another bowl take soft butter whisk butter for a minute, add sugar little at time whisk both together for 3-4 min, once mix gets fluffy and light add one egg, whisk again until egg incorporate and mix gets light repeat for another egg
  3. Add milk to mixture little at time and whisk so that all ingredient mix properly
  4. Now add flour in 3-4 batches, use fold and mix method to incorporate dry and wet ingredients together
  5. Now again add remains half cup milk in cake batter little at time and mix well
  6. chocolate cake batter is ready
  7. Take three 7 inch diameter and 2 inch deep metal cake tin grease with butter and place parchment paper at the bottom to avoid sticking the cake Note : instead of three cake tin single 7 inch diameter and 5 inch deep tin can be use
  8. Pour equal amount of batter to all three tin, spread evenly, tap cake tin to remove air bubbles
  9. Preheat oven on 350 degree Fahrenheit/ 175 degree celsius
  10. Keep all three cake tin in oven and bake for 16-18 min
  11. Check cake by inserting toothpick in cake, remove cake tin, let it cool for 5 min
  12. remove all three cake and let them cool completely on wire rack
  13. Once cool down remove parchment pepper and cut dried side(edges) of cake

Ingredients – Chocolate milk

  • Chocolate – 2 tbsp
  • दूध / Milk – 1 cup
  • साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1 tbsp

Instruction – Chocolate milk

  1. Take Mixing bowl add 2 tbsp chocolate chips and 1 cup hot milk, mix well
  2. Add 1 tbsp sugar mix well
  3. Chocolate milk is ready keep a side

Ingredient Cake Filling

  • Chocolate chopped pieces – 1/4 cup
  • अक्रोड / Walnut chopped – 2 tbsp
  • खोब्र / नारियल / Dry Coconut grated – 2tbsp

Cake Filling

  1. Mix chopped chocolate chips, walnut chopped and grated coconut, filling ready

Ingredients – Chocolate Ganache

  • Chocolate Chips – 3/4 cup
  • Heavy fresh cream – 1/2 cup

Chocolate Ganache

  1. In microwave bowl add chocolate chips microwave them for 30 sec and mix well, if needed repeat until chocolate chips melts
  2. Now add fresh cream mix well and refrigerate for 30 min before using
  3. Chocolate Ganache is ready, keep a side

Ingredients – Chocolate icing

  • Chocolate chips – 1/2 cup
  • Heavy fresh cream – 2 cup
  • साखर / शक्कर / powdered Sugar – 1/4 cup

Instruction – Chocolate icing

  1. In mixing bowl add chocolate chip and warm 1/2 fresh cream, mix well to dissolve chocolate completely
  2. Now add remaining heavy cream and mix well
  3. Refrigerate icing mix for 1-2 hours
  4. After 1-2 hours whip mix using electric whisker, start with low speed once its thicken increase speed add sugar little at time in between till it becomes light and hard peak forms
  5. Chocolate icing is ready

Cake Assembly

  1. Keep cake board or plate on surface, apply some ganache on middle
  2. Place one cake on board, pour some chocolate milk with spoon on all over first cake layer
  3. Fill piping bag with chocolate icing, Apply icing on cake by using piping bag, spread evenly
  4. Sprinkle some cake filling on top of chocolate icing
  5. Place second layer of cake on top of that
  6. Pour some chocolate milk, and apply a layer of chocolate icing
  7. Sprinkle some cake filling on top of chocolate icing
  8. Place third layer of cake on top of that, again pour some chocolate milk
  9. Apply icing and cover side and top of cake, make sides and top smooth by using cake spatula
  10. Apply thin border of icing at bottom of cake and stick marshmallow on that
  11. Now, pour chocolate ganache on top-edge of the cake, let it flow to bottom on some places
  12. Decorate the cake with some icing flowers and marshmallows
  13. At center write a message of your choice in the middle with icing, since this is new year eve, I wrote “Happy 2021”
  14. refrigerate cake before serving

Tips

  1. Using 3 cake pans gives even cake layers
  2. If you like, you can add vanila essence to cake batter
  3. Refrigerated icing and cake if icing is runny
  4. Perfect for birthday, anniversary, celebrations

How to serve

  1. Keep cake refrigerated for best taste
