Ingredients – Tomato Soup
- तेल / Oil – 1 tbsp
- मीरे / काली मिर्च / Black peppers – 4
- लवंग / लौंग / Clove – 2
- दालचीनी / Cinnamon – 1 inch
- तमालपत्र / तेज़पत्ता / Bayleaf – 1
- मोटी इलायची / Black Cardamom – 1
- लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 2/3 cloves
- कांदा / प्याज / Onion chopped- 1/2
- टमाटर / Tomato Chopped – 4
- मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
- कोथंबीर / धनिया / Coriander -2/3
- Butter – 1 tbsp
- साखर / शक्कर / Sugar – 1 tsp
- तिखट / लाल मिर्च/ Chili powder – 1tsp
- Cornstarch slurry – 1 tbsp
- मीरे पूड / काली मिर्च/ Black peppers
- Fresh cream – 1 tbsp
Making Soup
- Heat oil in a pot on med, add black peppers, clove, cinnamon, bayleaf, cardamom sauté till aromatic
- Add chopped garlic, sauté for half a minute
- Add chopped onion, sauté till onion is soft
- Add tomato, salt to taste, mix well
- Add 2 cups water, mix well, cover and cook till tomato is completely soft
- Once cooked turn off heat, let it cool down
- Now strain tomato soup, grind the leftover tomato and strain again
- Now heat a pot on medium heat, add butter, let it melt.
- Add chili powder, sauté for 15 sec
- Add strained tomato soup mix well
- Add sugar, and salt to taste mix well, cover and simmer for 2-3 min
- Server hot! sprinkle a pinch of black pepper powder and fresh cream
Tips
- Strain soup with fine cloth or metal mesh to get nice smooth soup texture
- Cook tomato well till it softens to get nice creamy soup

- Serve Hot!
- Serve with garlic bread, you can also top it with come croutons!
