Healthy Chicken Rolls

Ingredients – Marination

  • चिकन / Chicken breast – 500 gm
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • लाल मिरची / Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  • लिंबू / नींबू / Lime juice – 2 tsp

Marinating chicken

  1. Wash chicken breast thoroughly with water and put it on kitchen towel to soak extra water
  2. Slit Chicken breast in middle and open Chicken breast completely
  3. Cover chicken in plastic wrap
  4. Pound chicken breast to make it flat and thin all over for even cooking
  5. In small bowl add salt, chili powder, lemon juice mix well
  6. Apply mixture on chicken breast on both side, keep it side

Ingredients – Filling

  • तेल / Oil – 1 tsp
  • लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic – 1 tsp
  • कांदा / प्याज / Onion – 1/2 sliced
  • गाजर / Carrot – 1/4 cup
  • शिमला मिर्च / Green Pepper – 1/8 cup
  • Chili flakes – 1/2 tsp
  • मीरे पूड / काली मिर्च/ Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – a pinch
  • Bread crumbs – 1/8 cup
  • चीज / Cheese – 1/4 cup

Instructions – Filling

  1. Heat pan on medium
  2. Add a tbsp oil, add one tsp fine chopped garlic, sauté for 30 sec
  3. Add thinly sliced onion, sauté till onion cooks
  4. Add grated carrot, finely chopped green bell pepper, sauté for min
  5. Add half tsp red chili flakes, pepper powder, mix well
  6. Add little salt, mix well
  7. Turn off heat, filling is ready. Remove in bowl and let it cool
  8. Add bread crumbs and cheese, mix well

Ingredients – Chicken Roll

  • तेल / Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Marinated Chicken
  • Filling
  • Threads to tie chicken

Instructions – Chicken Roll

  1. Now take three pieces of thread long enough circle around rolled chicken
  2. Place all three threads parallel to each other with some distance between them
  3. Now place marinaded chicken breast on those threads
  4. Put filling on chicken and roll chicken breast around stuffing
  5. Tie knot of each thread and secure chicken roll in three places
  6. If needed secure chicken roll with more thread

  1. Heat pan on medium, add 1 tbsp oil
  2. Place chicken roll in pan and cook from all side, once it get golden brown from all side, reduce heat to low and cook for 2-3 min more
  3. Total time to cook chicken roll is 7-8 min
  4. Remove in plate and let it cool
  5. Once cool down remove all tread and slice chicken roll in small pieces
  6. Enjoy it with any type of sauce and leafy salad

Tips

  1. Pounding all around helps with even cook
  2. Breast meat chicken is best suited for this recipe
  3. Other veggies like shredded cabbage can also be added

How to serve

  1. Serve hot
  2. Serve with Sauce, Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Leafy salad
