Ingredients Tava Pulav

  • तेल / Oil – 1 tbsp
  • लसुन / लेहसुन / Garlic fine chopped – 1 tsp
  • कांदा / प्याज / Onion fine chopped – 1
  • गाजर / Carrot fine chopped – 1
  • शिमला मिर्च / Green Pepper fine chopped – 1/4 cup
  • मटर / Green Peas – 1/4 cup
  • टमाटर / Tomato cut – 1
  • मीठ / नमक / Salt – as per taste
  • तिखट / लाल मिर्च / Chili powder – 1tsp
  • Pav-Bhaji Masala – 3 tsp
  • बटाटा / आलू / Potato boiled and crushed – 1
  • भात / पका चावल / Cooked rice – 2 cups
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • कोथंबीर / धनिया पत्ता / Coriander

Making Tava Pulav

  1. Take a pan, add oil, heat on medium
  2. Add garlic, sauté for about 30 sec
  3. Add onion, sauté till onion is soft
  4. Add carrot, sauté till carrot turns soft
  5. Add green peppers, sauté till medium soft
  6. Add green pees, sauté till medium soft
  7. Add tomato, sauté till tomato is soft
  8. Add salt to taste, mix well
  9. Add chili powder, pan bhaji masala, mix well
  10. Add potato, mix well
  11. Add rice, mix well
  12. Add butter, mix well and sauté rice for 2-3 min on high
  13. Garnish with coriander, Tava Pulav is ready!

How to serve

  1. Serve hot!
  2. Serve with riata, curd

Tips

  1. Left over rice can be used for this recipe
  2. Roasting rice with all masala is important to get nice flavors
  3. Ready in minutes, serve as quick breakfast or evening meal
  4. Serve with curd, raita
